By Enio Sacilotto, Assistant Coach of the Victoria Royals & President of International Hockey Camps

Many players and coaches are interested in improving their competitive edge, small area games are perfect to develop the battling spirit in hockey players. Not only do they force players to think and move quickly, they must do so in confined space. These type of games/drills keep players moving, work on conditioning, develop skills and while having FUN at the same time. In this article you will find 4 drills that emphasize competition in a 1 on 1 situation. We use these drills at our Battle and Compete Camps as well as with the Victoria Royals (WHL).
